Well at the last moment that we thought that we just weren't going to get anything, the unthinkable happened! It started hailing! Then it went to sleet then finally it turned to a nice sheet of snow! So this morning when I woke up I saw the prettiest sheet of Ice/Snow! It was so pretty that I knew right then and there that I had to go out on the beautiful thing and walk! But then I thought that if I walk on it that it would not be a very oh-so- very-pretty sheet of Ice/Snow anymore. It would be a walked-on-piece-of-ugly-oh-so-ugly sheet. So I waited for a while untill my dogs had their breakfast to go outside, because they would have to go outside sooner or later!
So later this morning I went outside with my dogs, and we all had our fun! But then came the dangerous part of going outside, Max And Mini always run when they come inside. So when it was time to come inside Max and Mini just thought that thier little legs would carry them safely on the " SNOW" . But apparently they did not know that what they thought was snow was actually Ice. So we were all coming inside and Mini just couldn't do it and she slipped! Dun, Dun, Dun!
Well having all of this Ice and stuff you have to do some fun things like sing with the family so I thought that you guys would like it if I showed you one of the songs that we sang. Ready? Here it goes!
to the tune of the Oklahoma song!
SNOW......klahoma
where the cold front's
where the cold front's
sweepin' down the plain
and the piles of sleet,
beneath your feet
follow right behind the freezing rain.
and the piles of sleet,
beneath your feet
follow right behind the freezing rain.
SNOW......klahoma
Ev'ry night my honey lamb and I
Ev'ry night my honey lamb and I
travel home from work and hope some jerk
doesn't wreck our car just passing by!
doesn't wreck our car just passing by!
We know we belong to the land,
but it sure needs some more salt and sand!
but it sure needs some more salt and sand!
That's why we say.....YIKES!
we slide the other way.....YIKES!
We're only saying your slick as snot SNOWklahoma
SNOWklahoma
SNOW-K-L-A-H-O-M-A
SNOWklahoma, SNOW-k!
(My mom got this in an email, so I can't take credit for the words, but it's sure fun to sing!)

Hunter, I went for a walk in the snow also. I love to be the first one to make a footprint in the fresh snow. I enjoy the quiet of a snowy morning. It seems like everything is still asleep. Sometime I will teach you how to play Fox and Hound in the snow.
ReplyDeletewe must be from the same area. beautiful 'snowklahoma!"
ReplyDeleteHey Hunter try to find the biggest icicle and take a picture and post it. We have one at our house that goes from the roof to just a few inches from the ground. It's HUGE! Kaitlyn is going to try to post the pictures of the ones that she finds. You post yours and then we can share. Have fun and be safe!
ReplyDeleteOk! That sounds like fun! I found ine yesterday that Almost touched the ground, but I broke it to see how heavy it was! But don't worry! There is plenty more where that came from!
